같이 가자!

Photo Post
The adventure started here. Mission: Backpacking South Korea within one month with a targeted budget approx. RM5-6K. Equipped with main backpack Deuter Gobi (45+5L) along with a smaller Le Sac Sports backpack. Flying on MAS; return seat bought at RM1K+ (incl. insurance) during June 2009 sales.
Part 1: Seoul 20091008-10
Accommodation: Jongnowon Motel - reservation from Innostel during Seoul Grand Sale with 20%
Highlights:
+ The room in the motel was kinda small but for the cheap price that we were paying and the fact that we didn’t stay much in it other than to sleep, it doesn’t matter at all XD The owner and her daughter were very helpful and there is free breakfast until 11am. Common use computers with Internet (as well as free wifi) only available at the ground floor in the kitchen area. There is also laundry service too. We took the airport bus from Incheon (9,000won) direct to Jongno-gu and it was a bit hard to find but if you asked around, you will be get directions to locate it. The motel is next to the Seoul Backpacker Hostel.
+ Birthday on first day arrival. Had a slice of chocolate cake.
+ Hangang (Han river) churned off bad smell ;-;
+ Bought the Seoul City Plus Card (similar to T-money but for foreigners with certain discounts on tourists destinations, etc) for easier commuting and even though there are more cuter design as being promoted but we didn’t seem them on sale anywhere O.o It was 3,000won for the rechargeable card and you have to add-in money to it in order to use it.
+ Discovery of and the start of obsession over 김밥 천국 (Kimbap Cheonkuk)- 24hrs cheap eatery place that serves great korean food
+ Noticed quite a lot of senior age people at Angguk area
+ Manhwas, books and stationary at Libro Bookstore, Euljiro-1-ga
+ 올림픽 공원 잠실 (Olympic Park, Jamsil) - such a nice park to spend your leisure time and exercising. Prior to this, we were at Apgujeong area for a short while but just to check out somethings in preparation of our next visit when we are back from the South Korea rountrip xD
+ Bi’s The Legend of Rainism concert in Seoul 20091009 - bought tics from interpark and although we got the chepaest seat but the view was so fine! Bi was indeed still the brilliant show performer that he is. MBLAQ was the opening act and it was also their first public performance debut “Oh Yeah~”
+ Dream Concert 20091010 - tried our luck at the venue (because gmarket was stupid) and managed to buy media seats tics for just 5000won. Have you ever fangirl with a table in front of you?! 8Db YG fans were the greatest fans that night! Heenim- can’t take my eyes off of you~~ Zoom
