오모리 찌개 전문점, 충무로 (Omori Jiggae Specialty Restaurant, Chungmuro)
Location: Cho-dong, 19-12, Jung-gu Seoul / 초동, 19-12, 중구, 서울
Direction: Exit 9 of Chungmuro Station, Line 3. Please refer to the map below on walking directions (zoomed in to see how to walk towards to B). Basically you just walk straight until you reach the corner in which the restaurant is located at.
Apparently Omori Jiggae Restaurant is a franchise on kimchi broth stew dish. I didn’t even know this because I was actually there on the recommendation of its famous jjajangmyun (black bean sauce noodles) serving. The jjajangmyun was really up to my expectation and so delicious! It’s like you can’t seem to have enough even though you are too full. For me, the best selling point of the jjajangmyun is the sauce which made the overall taste of the jjajangmyun stood out even after taste. I am sorry I happened to be one of those few survivor eater as in I eat to live so pardon me for my lack of choice of words in describing delicious food XD Anyway, the kimchi being their specialty, the self service on the kimchi as side dish is a must try for kimchi lovers then.
Unfortunately I didn’t remember to take photo of the exterior of the restaurant nor on the menu price. But we had jjajangmyun of big portion (around 6000won + maybe) and a set of mandu (dumplings) that were of 6 average sized (price forgotten). I managed to stop by again for another round of jjajangmyun before I left Seoul and will definitely go back again for another feast :D
